How prepared are you for the liquidity trap?

Steen Jakobsen
How prepared are you for a trading liquidity crisis? We all need to be aware of the risks and act accordingly, say both John Hardy, Saxo Bank's Head of Forex Strategy and Steen Jakobsen, the bank's Chief Economist.
John says it doesn't matter in which asset class you specialise. What you often get, he says, is contagion across markets. Steen points to many examples of how the markets have already sent 'significant alerts' about the problem. He adds that central banks are only partly to blame for these tricky trading conditions and markets need to normalise as soon as possible.
