USDCHF has weak bounce but selling to deepen

A rally proved limited but failed to attract significant selling interest. So USDCHF was caught tightly within less than half of Wednesday’s parameters. Profit-taking weakness and downside in Asia suggest underlying bearish sentiment.

Norges Bank takes NOK lower. The Norges bank left the deposit rate unchanged as expected at 0.50%, but adjusted the expected CPI for 2017 drastically lower to 1.7% from the previous 2.4% and for 2018, adjusted lower to 1.5% vs. 1.8% previously. The policy rate was seen at current levels for years. This kicked NOK for fresh weakness versus the euro as European rates have slowly been notched higher over the coming 1-2 years. Considerable further upside potential for EURNOK if oil prices remain in the lower range after the recent sell-off.

EURGBP bullish after buyers at 13-day line

    Partner at 3 C ANALYSIS / 3cAnalysis
    United Kingdom
Early price action on Wednesday extended Tuesday’s upside rejection lower. This decline took EURGBP towards the key 13-day moving average but that level went untested as Europe attracted buying interest. This demand was not extensive and only regained Asian losses but the key element was that the 13-day line remains intact and is likely to continue, so we're looking for the Keltner channel to drag the cross higher.
