Apple stock ready to push towards $600

Apple stock ready to push towards $600
After the close in New York last night Apple handsomely beat expectations for its fiscal second quarter results. The bigger news, however, came on the corporate action front where the company announced a dividend hike, an increase in the stock buyback programme as well as a stock split. The stock's initial reaction is sharply higher, which, if sustained, should easily push the stock towards USD 600 over the coming weeks. Manage your risk accordingly.

European Stocks: Positive bounce for the bulls

European Stocks: Positive bounce for the bulls
After last week's bounce off the lows, European stocks are giving the bulls a little much-needed hope. While the broader indices still need to clear multi-month resistance, the odds are looking a little better. If and when a break to new highs occurs, a plethora of single-name stocks should set up to trade on the long side. Remain vigilant.

Inflated Weibo IPO is overshadowed by WeChat and Alibaba

Inflated Weibo IPO is overshadowed by WeChat and Alibaba
The tech IPO pipeline is still offering new opportunities to investors every week and tomorrow, Weibo – the 'Twitter of China' – will begin trading on the NASDAQ GS. It seems like a good Chinese growth story, but an inflated valuation, competition from WeChat and the upcoming Alibaba IPO will cap investors' enthusiasm.

We may need to watch the bund against the dax. At present the close points are at resistance but the dax is on a declining close and in these instances it is not uncommon for the Bund rate of change acceleration will outpace the Dax decline....perhaps a short dax long bund is about to occur?

FWIW an update......Interesting spread imho...using June Bund it has as suggested risen +9 so far and the spot dax has again as suggested dropped 70pts so far.....therefore...

Caution with spread trading....stops on b/e may be advisable as this isn't a net neutral trade. These two are (obviously) correlated. A contraction in spread is great...

Bund rallies further against the Dax....remember this is a ROC trade plan.
