Should I stay or should I stop out?

Should I stay or should I stop out?
The English punk rock band the Clash sang ''Should I stay or should I go now?'', which should become a traders' anthem. When a trade goes against you, what do you do? Should you stay or should you go? What are the choices for rescuing a trade? Should you even bother? Are your stop placement and management really the cause of such a ''Clash'' moment? Let's consider these things.

The yen run ending in tears is a prophecy come true
Over a year ago I warned that the Japanese yen's weakening would end in tears. The tears started flowing last January, when the Bank of Japan surprised and lowered rates into negative territory. It was surprising, but probably a trend reversal. Today USDJPY is at an important juncture. Will the JPY's strengthening continue from here, or is something else afoot?

USDCHF - 0.9965 is going to be a BIG resistance. It is likely that 3 time-frames will show a DeMark exhaustion count at the point. I then think this will be BC complete for a larger AB=CD formation lower. Note the inner waves are in three waves. This highlights a corrective pattern..... let you know if I get a trigger. BTW ... I would not take a EURUSD long until this pattern is nearly complete (they are close to -1 correlated)

USDCAD - Key Average concerns but sentiment positive
Monday’s net decline was entirely regained yesterday. The bulk of the gains were posted in later trading but the move takes USDCAD back to the test the key 13 day moving average – unbroken for more than 1 month. That level held and so, trapped between 2 mvg avgs, signals for sentiment are not strong going into today. But it is the rejection of a late decline yesterday that is expected to set the tone for at least early price action this morning.
Scope on the topside to 1.3826, 1.3848 or even towards 1.3900. Setbacks should attract buyers near 1.3776 and only below 1.3738 is negative.

How and why to trade yesterday's news
When we trade we look at what is currently happening as well as what is likely to happen. But what if we traded yesterday's news? What if we ignore whatever data-driven event is to occur later today or tomorrow and instead look at what just occurred..
