This may be of use for market direction more than true prediction of day highs and lows. Quite a few authors claim to have invented this trade strategy but in truth I have seen this in a lot of older stats books on probability than trading but a useful guideline...fwiw.
I have seen it used on the major fx pairings and mainstream indices !

Equities are under pressure today following the Fed's surprisingly hawkish comments last night. Further downside is now expected and we have been selling into rallies this morning for a day trade.
Dax has temporarily breached a short term trend support line and a clear break should accelerate downside

Steve, 9780 for DAX seems unbreakable, as well as 2040 for SPX
Do you still expect a breakdown today?

    Medium term

SP500 providing good risk/reward for bears

The SP500.I has moved aggressively higher since mid February and sentiment is once again turning bullish from having been awfully bearish at the lows. A corrective move higher following a five wave decline is ominous, and why we should be looking for good spots to apply shorts. Waves and cycles could align today and a negative close could be the signal we are looking for.
