Bullish engulfing candle emerging in silver. The phenomenal recovery in silver today which so far has yielded a 14.7 percent range is in the process of creating a bullish engulfing formation which will be confirmed by a close above Friday's high at 16.36.

Predictions that outrage, forecasts that divide
Our Outrageous Predictions publication is now approximately two weeks away and, true to form, the forecasts for 2015 from our community continue to amuse, surprise, provoke, and yes, even outrage on occasions. What's your prediction for 2015?

Crude oil: The rally on Friday proved short lived and selling has resumed today following the disappointing GDP numbers from Japan, the world's fourth biggest crude importer. Traders remain firmly focused on the OPEC meeting on Nov 27 and the deadline for negotiations between Iran and the G5+1 group of nations on Nov 24. Increased meeting activities among OPEC members is a clear sign that the upcoming meeting will be one of the most important for many years. Saudi Arabia continue to signal some resistance towards a cut which would have to be in the region of 1 to 1.5 mio bpd to have any impact. The Finance Minister from the Kingdom has said that the oil price "Has to be left to supply and demand".
Today at 2:30 US EST we have the expiry of December options on WTI crude oil and the 75 Put is attracting a great deal of attention. With an open interest of 16,581 contracts it may attract some defensive actions from option traders.

    Medium-term reversal potential for AUDUSD

Managing Director / Technical Research Limited

The Aussie dollar has completed a short-term bottoming formation and probably signalled a medium-term reversal as well. Support at .8645/.8630 should hold, for a rally toward .8760 en route to .8810/.8825.
