USDCAD - Sentiment positive after average break
Our first downside target was met yesterday But that downside stalled at similar levels to the last 2 weeks and, once again, buyers took USDCAD back to the 13 day mvg avg. This continues a lack of follow through in either direction that has been the mark of the last 4 weeks trading. Naturally this does not create strong signals for sentiment going into Wednesday but with Asia attracting buyers our signals are positive despite the concerns of the proximity of Monday’s Marabuzo line.
So we look to Buy at 1.2850 and any 1.2817 dip.
    The risk is 1.2787 offered.
Upside targets of 1.2867, 1.2891 or even 1.2925

The DAX may have had a healthy bounce from this morning's lows but all we've actually done is come back to a "Vacuum" resistance at 12012 from Friday's Market Profile... and found sellers. I would be getting short here (11975 last) looking for a fresh test of this morning's 11725 low, which was the lowest print since last February. 11621 is a level below that being a 61.8% Fibonacci retracement, although 11382 is a "better" one to reference/target... I shorted the FTSE on Friday morning's video and am happy with this trade still, and thinking the DAX has more downside too.

The US ADP jobs figures for December came out ahead of all headline estimates with 250,000 new positions added versus 195,000 expected – the highest reading since March 2017.

EURUSD, however, did not so much as budge; as Saxo head of FX strategy John Hardy said this morning, the market "is just not seeing the dollar favourably".

Is the USD weakness a fiscal outlook trend, or do ADP figures just not move FX markets?
