Update on USDCAD trade...chart should be obvious so will not explain the how and why as this is an update. But as we have potentially a HIGH market impact data release due from the USA namely the CPI that I have now preset an order to enter a long at 1.28950 just incase we get a reversal move.

its going well, although i tested the eurgbp yesterday with the scalp set up, big mistake, i got stuffed! the high impact news from Carney gave me 2 stop loss! on the plus side system well in profit and i now know not to use eurgbp on such high impact days. In fact do you think there is a case for not trading high impact days with the scalp system at all?

It depends when the high impact news occurs if we set the range after the news release you have a higher success rate but only marginally. The probability strategy was built from real time records over the year and back testing regardless of news events and overall the scalp system still holds !
Carney caused a dramatic market incident but they statistically are outlier events or rogue wave events. Bad news about your loss though....it's never good to chin any loss but they happen so sorry for that mate. Trading the loon trade I gave must be net positive for you though ?

One golden rule though...never use any of the strategies for intraday trading on FOMC days.
