Hoffman outperforms for second place

Nicki Sørensen stuck to his guns and was awarded accordingly as he saw his performance jump to a record personal high of 24.76%. This effectively lands him the record for highest performance in #TradeLikeAPro so far.

With his single-stock portfolio, Sørensen has managed to create a +3% separation between him and the runner up – Sports Director, Tristan Hoffman – who posts a 21.40% performance return.

While yesterday's climber Bruno Pires has experienced continued growth of his portfolio, Tristan Hoffman simply outperformed the 33-year-old Portuguese rider in the competition for second place.

Will Pires in third place be able to sustain his performance growth and once again threaten Sørensen, whose returns are linked directly to the fluctuations of a single stock?

Dwars door Vlaanderen

The big engines of the peloton will kick-start the high season of the cobbled classics Wednesday at the Flemish semi-classic Dwars door Vlaanderen. Tinkoff-Saxo is at the start with a squad consisting of younger talents and proven riders headed by the Danish trio of Matti Breschel and Michael Mørkøv.

The three Danish riders will be accompagnied by Maciej Bodnar, Pavel BruttNikolay Trusov, Jay McCarthy, Michael Kolar and Juraj Sagan.

Team1

“Dwars door Vlaanderen is the first of five big cobbled races in the next intense weeks. We want to perform well and we’re heading to Dwars door Vlaanderen with the ambition of finishing in the top five or higher. Matti Breschel, who won the race in 2010, is our captain together with Michael Mørkøv, who’ll also get a protected role”, says Tristan Hoffman.

Volta a Catalunya

Stage 2 of Volta a Catalunya didn’t allow for the favourites to take back the time lost to the dangerous riders of yesterday’s breakaway. However, Tinkoff-Saxo’s team captain Alberto Contador is determined to try and bridge the gap in the GC.

Volta

“The bad weather that we had today wasn’t ideal to recover from my cold. Anyway, cycling is like this and we must just acclimatise to the conditions. It was a hard and cold stage and I would like to thank my teammates, who supported me a lot during the stage and kept me well placed,” says Alberto Contador immediately after the stage.

Wishing all riders and management good luck and good legs!
