Hype among retail investors drove the 2017 crypto bull market to feverish highs as newcomers sought quick and big profits. But a raft of regulatory changes as well as the launch of futures mean those days are long gone and the story of 2018 so far is of depressed sentiment and prices.

The new TradingFloor.com marks a major milestone

Co-founder and CEO / Saxo Bank A/S

  • Saxo Bank switches off the old platform
  • Future of social trading has begun
  • Focus will be on optimising the new site

This week was a major turning point for Saxo Bank in its quest to transform trading into a new social experience.

It was a week that marked the full switch over to the new TradingFloor.com. And it was also a week that we said our final goodbyes to the old TradingFloor as we know it.

We started working on the new portal in November 2012 and launched the beta version of the site worldwide on January 23 this year. The original TradingFloor.com was launched in 2009 - and I think it is safe to say that we have come a long way since then.

What started out as a small online community for traders about five years ago has grown into a game-changing portal that allows traders to share their trades with their peers, follow and copy other traders and trade directly from TradingFloor.com.

As the week progresses, our developers will continue to deploy new releases every day to the new site.

And I am sure you will be very happy to hear that the long-awaited search button and email notification features will be added to TradingFloor.com in just a few days.

There have been some glitches, but we are working extremely hard to iron them out with critical fixes and we are grateful for your patience with this.

Going forward, the developers' main focus over the next four weeks will be on the site's stability and its optimal performance.

It has certainly been an interesting journey so far - and there's a lot more to come, especially with the introduction of our auto-trading feature later in the year.

Your feedback continues to be a vital component of what we are doing with the site, so keep it coming and just leave your comments below.

The future of trading has truly arrived and we hope you continue to enjoy and share the journey with your friends and fellow traders.
