Peter Garnry, head of equity strategy at Saxo Bank, examines the post–Brexit banking crisis in Italy.
The Texas Ratio, which measures the amount of non-performing assets and loans divided by the bank’s tangible equity plus its loan loss reserve, is showing Italy’s banks are in dire straits.
He explains how the crisis could be solved with the help of the European Central Bank and how it could mean more opportunities in financials and equities in general.
