The Bank of Japan has abandoned quantitative easing and the European Central Bank may taper its bond-buying programme, so what is the role of central banks in 2017, asks Saxo Bank’s chief economist Steen Jakobsen.

Here are my list of trades for those interested:

JPY extremely weak complimented with CAD being extremely strong.
The most preferred trade would then be BUY CADJPY. Get in on above trades around 11PM CST and avg around 3AM CST if behind. Take profit after 11PM but if you get 100 pips in any pair, feel free to cash in.

Best of luck, Cheers!!

Hi Jim, would you buy 100k of cadjpy and sell 100k of usdcad? Or would you scale down the usdcad amount so that you have the same cad amounts?

CAD is very strong now. When you match it with a weak pair say USD it tends to selloff. This USD/CAD implies WEAK/STRONG. If you match it with JPY, implies CAD/JPY then it is STRONG/WEAK and results in an insane rally. So those two pairs are really very different forex pairs but with one common index.

We like to spread our funds over all the listed pairs. Just trade the pairs listed in equal amounts. Hopefully, by the end of the day, they will make a profit. In general, most of our recommendations will work. Maybe one will not. Have no idea which one will be bad.
Please keep in mind we do not and cannot guarantee results. However, we do trade what we recommend.

Best of luck, CHeers!!

Those traders that took the plunge on my recommendations are now in the money. Lets keep the faith and see results in the American market and hold til 11AM CST. Cheers!!

Its 3:15AM CST and if you took the trades recommended, you should be deep in the profit on all pairs. Keep the faith. Cheers!!

As we approach 11AM CST some of our trades have not performed as expected but we do show a slight profit overall if all the above trades were made. I will do a profit analysis after 11AM.

We were doing really good and deep in the profit before the American market. The US market can make you or break you.

When trading, it is important not to lose money. If that is the premise, then we have done good. Tomorrow is another day of opportunity.
