EURCHF breaks resistance, higher correction expected

Analyst / PIA First
United Kingdom
Instrument: EURCHF
Price target: 1.1580
Market price: 1.1548
Background

The Swiss currency lost ground on Monday with the euro advancing to the 1.1550 area against the franc while the dollar pushed to highs near 0.9400 late in the European session.

Although there was further uncertainty surrounding Eurozone politics, Italian yields declined during the day, which limited franc support.

Firm equity markets also limited the potential for franc support on defensive grounds

Technical

We have broken out of the channel formation to the upside. A higher correction is expected.
Bespoke support is located at 1.1535.

Further upside is expected although we prefer to set longs at our bespoke support levels, resulting in improved risk/reward.

EURCHF (four-hour):
EURCHF 4
Source: Saxo Bank

Parameters

Entry: we look to buy at 1.1535.

Stop: 1.1515.

Target: 1.1580.

Time frame: intraday.

Good morning Ian. You know what they say:
„Pip pip pip, go the candle's sticks / A few will find profit / A few will just fit / Away they may go / on a short or long trip / Yet surely come back / to catch one more fix!”

Good morning gents! Wishing all a great trading day! I will stay away from the markets until we hear Powell. FWIW I am still liking the USD to the long side and hope we get some clarity this afternoon as to where the markets are heading! ;) Good luck to all! ;)
