The Australian market open was delayed due to a technical glitch, with the Australian Securities Exchange saying the issue involved a component that allows the ASX to manage individual stocks. Saheli Roy Choudhury writes that a representative said the ASX was working to rectify the issue and open the market in an orderly manner as soon as possible. Australian SPI futures traded at 5,275, compared to the ASX 200 index's last close at 5,296.69.
