    How the world benefits from UK public services

    Foreign governments are making hundreds of millions of pounds a year running British public services, according to an investigation that highlights how privatisation is benefiting overseas customers rather than UK taxpayers. Many of the UK's energy, transport and utility networks are run by companies owned by other European governments, meaning that foreign exchequers reap the dividends while British customers struggle with increasing fares and bills.
