Some 130 companies will report and we take a closer look at Netflix, ICBC and Daimler, which are due to report Monday, Tuesday and Friday respectively. In addition, we give a high-level overview of US earnings and revenue trajectory. Q3 2017 may set a new record on EBITDA for the first time in 10 years.

    Macro breathes life into China and ICBC — #SaxoStrats

    Recent macro data on China have been positive and investors are currently re-pricing many Chinese companies at higher valuation multiples. Chinese banks are still lagging but recent moves show that sentiment is changing for the better and our quant model is favouring Chinese banks on attractive valuation and above average yields and return on capital compared to global peers. Especially we like ICBC which we expect to benefit from the positive outlook on China.

    Earnings Watch: China should support Apple growth

    Apple reports FY15 Q4 earnings on Tuesday. Investors will be focusing a lot on China due to the ongoing uncertainty of China's economy but also the country's importance for Apple which accounted for 27% of revenue in the previous quarter.     Emerging market equities have not bounced back as sharply as in the US and European equity markets. It seems international investors aren't buying into the growth story at the moment – with sanctions against Russia still in place, China slowing while adjusting the economy, and Brazilian elections that chose the wrong candidate, according to the markets.
