A substance discharged into the air which is normally considered as a pollutant and generally referred to as greenhouse gases. Emissions generally have negative connotations. Some are volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and can be toxic and harmful to human health. VOCs however can include man-made and naturally occurring chemical compounds.
