The growth of trading in the commodities markets has shown strong recent growth. In response to higher client trading and interest in the energies markets, agriculturals, metals and financial Futures, Saxo Bank has added free daily commodity research from the Hightower Report through its multiproduct platform, the SaxoTrader.

The Hightower Report is published by Hartfield Management, Inc., a Chicago-based research company, specialised in the Futures market. It is used by the full range of market participants, from individual speculators to brokers to institutional traders, fund managers, commercial producers and end users, major exchanges and national governments. The reports, now offered for free through Saxo Bank's award-winning platform, SaxoTrader, are published daily and cover the most important US commodity and treasury markets.

Philip Engel Carlsson, Global Product Manager for the Futures business in Saxo Bank, commented: "We continually try to improve SaxoTrader and this report will broaden access for fundamental and technical commodity research. It will help clients design trade strategies that capture the market's potential while protecting against an unexpected market turns."

The Hightower Report includes:

  • Daily Market Themes
  • Trade Suggestions
  • Key Industry Statistics
  • Fundamental and Technical Analysis
  • Market Reports
  • Includes our The Hightower Report Newsletter

A commodities forecast service that uses both fundamental and technical analysis, the Hightower Report has, since its foundation in 1990, aimed at achieving a market-leading position. A great number of trading professionals use the Hightower Report on a daily basis to benefit from the most up-to-date fundamental news on the markets. David Hightower, editor of The Hightower Report, and his team now analyse market factors which drive prices, providing fundamental, technical, seasonal and cyclical research on commodity markets for the benefit of Saxo Bank clients - at no additional cost.

The Hightower Report began to meet demands from individual investors as well as commercial producers that wanted access to research focused specifically on commodities and financial futures, but was independent of any brokerage firm or exchange. Its use of fundamental and technical analysis in conjunction with their deep market experience has enabled the Hightower Report to become a central research tool of the futures industry.

"Volume in the Futures and commodities markets usually increases when the stock market outlook is uncertain. Today, the commodities markets are, without doubt, the most interesting markets and we feel obliged to help our clients to gain an in-depth understanding of the Futures market," said Philip Engel Carlsson.

The Hightower Report, which covers agriculturals, metals and energies, financials as well as food and fibre contracts, comes as the latest addition to SaxoTrader's vast product range and tools that help clients trade effectively and successfully.
