Saxo Bank is now Apple-friendly

Saxo Bank has launched several upgrades recently to make our trading platforms more compatible with Apple devices. This includes a new SaxoTrader for iPad app and most recently a new technical chart package for Mac users available through the SaxoWebTrader, which greatly improves the trading experience of Apple users.

Trading platform built specifically for iPad
The SaxoTrader iPad app, launched in July, is not just a bigger version of the iPhone app (launched earlier this year - 63,000 downloads!), but a trading platform built specifically for the iPad. The platform provides full trading functionality, including the ability to create a watch list, easily place related orders and view a basic chart. Saxo Bank clients can also manage their open positions and orders, as they can do in the computer-based platforms, access their news and analysis subscriptions and view any alerts or notifications they receive.

New chart package
Meanwhile, for Mac users, a new chart module has been launched based on Silverlight technology. The new chart package not only includes all the technical analysis functionality historically available to PC users, but the ability to manage orders directly from the charts. That means, for example, limits and stops can easily be moved by dragging a chart icon up or down to a new level. The new charts also have faster price updates, a new range selector and improved rendering of multiple instruments.

We have been working for some time now to improve the trading experience of Apple users. Perhaps rather belatedly, you might say, but good things come to those who wait!
