For all those playing along at home here's the gist of the FOMC minutes released recently;

*MANY FOMC PARTICIPANTS SAW NEW QE AS BOLSTERING U.S. RECOVERY
*MANY ON FOMC FAVORED EASING SOON IF NO SUSTAINED GROWTH PICKUP
*FOMC PARTICIPANTS SAW ECONOMY DECELERATING AFTER JUNE MEETING
*FED STAFF SAID MARKETS HAVE LARGE CAPACITY TO HANDLE MORE QE
*FOMC PARTICIPANTS SAW MID-TERM INFLATION AT OR BELOW 2% TARGET
*MOST FOMC PARTICIPANTS SAW GROWTH MODERATE IN COMING QUARTERS

The net result was a resurgence in USD sales, with EURUSD topping out at 1.2538, Cable doing amazing things of its own trading into 1.5870 and the AUDUSD coming back to range resistance of 1.0515/25. Not to be left outdone, Gold took out 1645 and hasn't looked back trading to a high of 1652.

Looks like Ben & his men have given just enough hope to get the party started. It makes Jackson Hole all the more interesting with regard potential coordinated intervention. Ah those crazy central bankers and they're printing presses.
