Crop conditions for corn and soybeans in the US continues to deteriorate, albeit at a slower pace than previous weeks. The below charts from Bloomberg shows just how significant the drought has been with conditions dramatically below the previous four years. Yesterday and so far continuing today some of the recent gains have been given back on forecasts for rains over some regions in the coming days and the extended outlooks have increased the chance of crop-friendlier weather.
