Are there any restrictions that might prevent me from using the free demo platform “trading demo account “ or the Live Trading Platform?
You need to have Administrator rights under Windows to be able to install the Tradingfloor 2 software – this is usually the case on a private computer. Should you wish to install the trading software within the framework of a company network please contact your IT service so that they can configure your firewall and enable you to access the installation commands.

Who should I contact if I have a problem installing the Tradingfloor 2 Live Platform?
You will receive all the information you need to contact us in the activation confirmation email for your Live Trading Platform.
If you cannot access this information, you can always call +41 848 201 201 from abroad or 0848 201 201 from Switzerland.

Is the Tradingfloor 2 platform web based?
No. At present you must download a program to use the Tradingfloor 2 platform.

Can I use the Tradingfloor platform on a Mac?
At the moment, Tradingfloor 2 is only supported on Windows. It is, however, possible to use the platform on Intel Macs, without any guarantee. You will find the information on Apple’s site, by entering “bootcamp” in their search box. The use of this solution is not guaranteed by Synthesis Bank and this excludes any recourse should there be difficulty using the program on such a system. Some emulation programs also allow a Windows environment to be managed (e.g. Parallels or VMWare).

Is it possible to use Tradingfloor 2 on another computer?

Yes, you may install our online trading platform on several computers and connect using your usual login details.
All you need to do is save the encryption key for your Live Trading Platform on an external medium, such as a USB key, and re-enter this information on the computer onto which you have downloaded the new platform (click on Options and then the Key Management tab in the platform menu).

You should ensure that you have 3 things to be able to install your live platform on another PC:

  • The download link for the Live Trading Platform
  • Your user name and password
  • The encryption key

You cannot work under the same user name on two different computers simultaneously..

Note for users protected by a firewall or proxy server:
If you are accessing Synthesis Bank Tradingfloor 2 from your workplace, it is highly likely that you are protected by a firewall and/or a proxy server. In fact, even home users are now using this type of protection. A special "communication port" must be open on your computer for Tradingfloor 2 to communicate securely with our servers via a firewall and/or a proxy server.
Ask your system administrator to open Port 1001 so that you can access the simul.tradingfloor.com server (IP address: 193.178.175.38). This port enables the information exchanged with our server to be encrypted.

This operation must be carried out before the demonstration version is downloaded.

Tradingfloor 2 communicates with the bank’s server via various TCP ports and tries to automatically detect the appropriate communication parameters via your Internet Explorer configuration. If you are working behind a firewall or a proxy server and you have problems using Tradingfloor 2, ask your system administrator to check that the ports in question are open as follows:

For optimum performance
Port 1001 of your proxy server/firewall must be open in order to authorise outgoing access to the simul.tradingfloor.com server (IP address 193.178.175.38). This port is used for the encrypted messages exchanged with the bank’s negotiation server.

An HTTP port (80 or 8080) and the HTTPS (443) port must be open. These allow the applications to be downloaded and web pages to be shown in Tradingfloor 2.
