About the rules of engagement

TradingFloor.com has been established for serious traders to keep up with and contribute to the conversation about what's going on in markets. The rules of engagement are here to protect that mission.

For example, comments from members are not moderated pre-publication, meaning counterproductive comments could be posted. We don't want the few to devalue the experience of the many, so if users breach these rules of engagement, we have the right to take some action to protect other users.

Forum rules

By registering as a user (the “User”) at Tradingfloor.com you agree to abide by the terms and conditions as outlined in these rules of engagement (the “rules of engagement”) as amended from time to time.

You agree that Saxo bank may modify the rules of engagement at any time in its sole discretion and without prior notice to you. Such changes will be posted online and will be effective upon posting. You should review the rules of engagement periodically to ensure familiarity with its then-current terms and conditions. Your continued use of the Tradingfloor.com shall constitute your acceptance of the rules of engagement and your continued use of the Tradingfloor.com following any modification of this the rules of engagement shall constitute your acceptance to the rules of engagement, as amended. If you do not agree to the changes, you must notify Saxo bank in writing or by telephone of your refusal and discontinue your use of the Tradingfloor.com and cancel your user account.

User account

In order to make use of the Service, you must sign up for a user account at Tradingfloor.com (the “User Account”) with a username and personal password. Please be aware that such User Account is not in any way connected to any bank account you may have with Saxo Bank.

You must at all times keep your password confidential, and you understand and agree that you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password and User Account. All content originating from your User Account “user content” shall be deemed made by you. user content shall mean any content the User posts, uploads or in any other way adds to Tradingfloor.com, including but not limited to text, links, pictures, diagrams etc.

You understand that all user contents are the sole responsibility of the person from which the user content originated. This means that you as a User are fully responsible for all user content that you post or otherwise make available on www.tradingfloor.com and Saxo bank shall not be responsible for any such user content. You acknowledge that Saxo bank does not pre-screen user content posted on tradingfloor.com. Saxo Bank does not guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, completeness, integrity or quality of any user content whatsoever, whether originating from Saxo bank or any third party source. Saxo bank advises that you consult an authorized financial professional to verify the accuracy of prices and any other related market or financial information instead of relying on any user content.

User restrictions

The user agrees that it may not post any user content:

  • which contains or could be considered spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or unsolicited promotional material;
  • which contains copyright material owned by third parties, including content that is protected by intellectual property laws, rights of privacy or publicity, or any other applicable law unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents;
  • which is materially false, misleading or inaccurate;
  • contains software viruses or other computer code, files or programs that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information;
  • which is abusive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, slanderous, obscene, pornographic, or that would violate any law.

The user furthermore agrees:

  • That Tradingfloor.com is designated for discussing trading and commenting on information on Tradingfloor.com. If you wish to discuss other subjects than trading, please user other forums designated for such subjects.
  • That all discussions must be made in a respectful manner to all other users. Therefore, the User agrees not to be offensive, rude or provocative. Likewise, it is prohibited for the User to pursue or stalk individual users and in all discussion the Users must always stick to the subject instead of discussing the users personally.
  • that any advertising by Users and any purchase and sale of goods, services etc. between users are strictly forbidden.
  • You are aware that Tradingfloor.com is a public forum. Therefore, you should always bear in mind that your postings will be publicly available, and you should therefore not post any personal information or contact details.

Termination and cancellation

Saxo bank reserves the right, although it does not have the obligation, at its sole discretion to review, redact and remove any User Content provided by a user and/or delete any user account at will without notice.

Saxo bank is entitled to at its sole discretion to ban a user from opening a user account.

You may cancel your user account with or without cause at any time and effective immediately by clicking on "delete my account" under "account settings". After you have cancelled your user account, you will no longer have access to the user account and all the information contained herein may be deleted by Saxo Bank. Saxo Bank shall not accept any liability for such deleted information or content.

However, upon cancellation of your account you are made especially aware that Saxo Bank is not obliged to delete all User Content posted by your User Account. Saxo Bank may choose only to delete all references to your User, thus making all User Content anonymous.

Modifications to service

Saxo bank reserves the right at any time to modify, suspend or discontinue the Services at Tradingfloor.com fully or in part with or without notice to the Users. You agree that Saxo Bank shall not be liable to you for such modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Services.

The rules of engagement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish Courts.
